FAQs - Mobile Massage in Sydney

Call: 0434 631 987

What type of massage do you offer?

Most of my bodywork is remedial, sports, deep tissue or Swedish/relaxation massage with occasional Heartworks Lomi Lomi. I don't provide Kahuna, Thai, reflexology or Shiatsu.

Are you qualified?

Yes, I have trained in remedial, Swedish, sports, deep tissue and pregnancy massage from various Sydney massage schools and I am registered with a professional association.

What parts of Sydney do you travel to?

Most of my work is around the Inner West and the Eastern Suburbs. Out of peak hour traffic, I will travel west to the Parramatta area, north to around Pennant Hills and Chatswood and parts of the lower North Shore.

A map of my service area is shown at here.

If you would like to find out if and when I would be available for you location then please either give me a call on 0434 631 987 or click here to submit your query.

I am also available for massage in Sydney hotels.

When are you available?

I am a full time mobile massage therapist and I am available seven days a week, including late night appointments finishing at around 10pm. However, I do not offer 24 hour massage service.

I don't have enough space to have a massage in my home.
Can I come to you?

Unfortunately no. I only provide a mobile massage service and I do not work out of a clinic.
Whilst some of the houses and units I visit have limited space, I have yet to visit someone where I haven't been able to set up my table (although occasionally we have to do a little bit of furniture re-arranging).

How do I book?

Either give me a call on 0434 631 987 or if you prefer you can book directly online by clicking here. This is a realtime/same day online booking facility.

Can I claim a health fund rebate?

I am registered to provide health fund rebates with all funds for remedial massage including BUPA, NIB, HCF, Grand United, etc and can provide a receipt for services provided in your home. I am not registered with some funds associated with ARHG and Medibank/AHM no longer recognise mobile massage for health fund rebates. Remedial massage rebates are not available for hotel visits.

If you need more information about how much rebate you will be entitled to then I would suggest that you contact your fund directly as each fund has different rules and policies and individual circumstances can vary.

Can I buy a gift certificate for a mobile massage?

Yes as long as the recipient lives within the area that I service. An online order form is available Mobile Massage Gift Voucher

How often should I book in for a massage?

This question will depend on your own particular circumstances and more information is provided here.

How can I be confident that you will provide the quality massage I need?

Whilst I cannot guarantee that I can 'fix' you, I am confident in my massage skills and the mobile massage service I offer. If you are in any way dissatisfied with the massage you have received from me, then just let me know and there will be no charge.

This is an unconditional guarantee - you don't even have to provide any reasons for why you are dissatisfied. How many other massage therapists are prepared to offer this level of commitment to your satisfaction?

What do I need to provide?

I will bring massage table, towels, oils and all the equipment I need. All I require from you is a suitable space in which to work. Preferably this will be quiet and away from 'household traffic', sufficient space for me to be able to work around my table and, in winter, suggested that the area be heated as you can get quite cool when lying down for an hour or so.

What do I wear for the massage?

This is up to you. For people who have had a lot of massage, I find that they often prefer to have taken everything off when under the drape. Others prefer to leave their underwear on.

All I ask is that you make a decision that you are comfortable with so that you can relax during the session.

What happens when you arrive?

For more specific information about how best to prepare for a home massage with Richard then check out this article.

When I arrive, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire whilst I am setting up the table. We will have a chat about any muscular or joint issues that you may be experiencing. We will also discuss your particular requirements and expectations for the session.

I will leave the room to wash my hands while you get undressed (either leaving underwear on or naked - whatever is your preference).

When you are ready on the table then the massage can begin.

I will check in with you during the massage whether I am using too little or too much pressure but other than that I will let you determine the level of conversation. Some people like to chat during their massage but most prefer to relax in silence and I will respect your choice.

At the end of the massage, I will leave the room again so that you can get dressed in your own time.
