Sydney Mobile Massage Pricing and Value

Call: 0434 631 987

Often I will receive calls which go along the lines of:

"Hi. This is Richard."

"You do mobile massage?"

"Yes. How can I help you?"

"How much do you charge?"

"For the Inner West my rate is $120 for a one hour home massage. If you are outside the Inner West then may be a little higher with the extra travel time for me".

And then the usual response is typically

"Ok" Click/hang up

"I'll get back to you" Click/hang up

or some similar alternative.

Home massage in Sydney

It is extremely rare that if someone's first question is about price that they will actually make a booking.

Now I understand that price of a massage is an important consideration for many people. However the value of the massage is of much greater importance. What is the better deal, an ok $100 home massage from an unaccredited therapist or a good $120 home massage from an experienced accredited professional who offers a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with your massage?

Personally if I was calling a therapist who had not been specifically recommended then the first thing I would be finding out about is their training, qualifications, skills and experience. I would be asking about what type of massage they would be providing, do they bring all their own equipment and are they with a professional association.

Only once I was confident that I would be getting a massage from someone I was prepared to trust to come into my home and massage me would I wonder about their pricing schedule.

Typically mobile therapists who offer low prices for mobile massage may not be fully qualified or a member of a professional association. They may not even bring a massage table (or if they do it may be a dodgy and uncomfortable table).

I'm aware that there are some therapists who insist that they can provide an effective massage on your bed. Hmmmmmm.

Or they may ask you to provide your towels.

I do understand that many people's budgets are constrained and they are only able to go to a certain price for a massage and, when they call someone, if the price is higher than their budget then there is no point finding out if the therapist is the right one for them. But it is important to remember that price is not everything when it comes to massage. And obviously a mobile massage will cost a little more than going to a clinic (although should point out that it is probably not as significantly higher as you might think - my rates are probably about $10-$15 dollars higher than visiting an equivalent clinic based therapist).

Again I would like to reiterate that the value of any massage is more important than the price itself. It may well be the case that you could find a better value mobile massage therapist than myself, particularly if you can find one who lives close to you as travel distance is a big factor in mobile massage pricing structures . However, given that I service a fairly substantial part of Sydney and I am available for evening and weekend appointments, I am comfortable that my rates are a reasonable balance between offering great value to you whilst providing a fair income for me.

If you would like to enquire about making an appointment with me or would just like more information then by all means please call me on 0434 631 987 or use the email form on the contact page.
